About F6F Hellcat
Introduced in 1943, the Grumman F6F Hellcat quickly proved itself as the U.S. Navyâs most effective carrier-based fighter of WWII. Designed to counter the Japanese Zero, it combined rugged construction, powerful armament, and excellent handling. With over 5,000 enemy aircraft destroyed, the Hellcat earned its reputation as the âAce Makerâ of the Pacific.
