In Greek myth, Hydra is a multi-headed creature known for “regrowth.” Today it reads as a symbol of resilience and problem solving. This model is a contemporary, tidy reinterpretation for play, display, and collecting.

Important joint note (break-in):
The very first time you seat the heads or parts, it is normal for them to feel a bit tight. That comes from snug tolerances and tiny surface texture from printing, which smooths out with a little motion.

  • Press parts straight in; if needed, a very slight twist helps alignment.
  • Open/close or rotate each joint 5 to 10 times to burnish the surfaces.

Configs: modular heads from 1 up to 5 on the same body.

Recommended Materials

Joints and connectors are always under mechanical stress.
We recommend printing these parts with PETG, ABS, ASA, or PCTG, as these materials provide better resistance to wear, heat, and pressure.

Advantages of These Filaments

  • Joints will stay tighter.
  • The overall durability of the model increases.
  • Movements will remain smoother and more precise.

If PLA Is Used

If for any reason you print these parts with PLA and the joints become loose over time:

  • Apply a very thin layer of clear nail polish or diluted glue to the ball surface.
  • Let it dry completely.
  • Then reassemble the joint.

Final Result

This way, even if PLA is your only option, the joints and the model will last longer.
