Canyon Neuron Bicycle Box V1
Print Profile(1)

Description
After an unsuccessful search for a solution to store my long heavy Abus bicycle lock, I designed a box myself.
This box is my first version, the prototype. The version fulfills its purpose and has already proven itself during initial test rides. However, there are already plans for a second version.
Specifically designed for the Canyon Neuron ON AL 9 with frame size M, the box will most likely also fit the AL 7 and AL 8, and perhaps even other brands.
The print profile contains a print template for testing the dimensions so that the entire box does not have to be printed.
The box is available in 2 designs (see photos).
Print times for the designs:
Design 1: approximately 16h
Design 2: approximately 13h
Here is the matching water bottle for the box in Design 1:

The holes intended for the water bottle are used to attach the box. Longer screws may be needed here.
In my case, the back of the box is currently additionally secured to the frame with a cable tie. However, the wider slot on the back of the box also offers space for a type of strap for additional fastening. But attachment with the 2 screws is also sufficient in most cases.
I lined the inside of the box with self-adhesive felt to avoid noise from vibrations.
The box has 2 hinged doors, allowing it to be opened from both sides. In total, there is space for 12 magnets of size 10x2mm, 6 per side. At least 4 magnets are required. Using all 12 magnets creates a high closing force. If less closing force is needed, correspondingly fewer magnets are sufficient.
I printed it with black ABS, which I then painted.
