Description

I just watched Hannibal recently and really liked his recipe organizer so when this contest popped up I knew what I am gonna do.

I went for an industrial look from the turn of the century the one before last if that is not clear. I wanted it to be tactile so I designed it with a big handwheel and a wee cog wheel that makes a nice clicky sound when you spin it.

My print is made out of a combination of PLA and PETG I would suggest PETG for bearing as it tends to have lower friction from my experience. My base is carbon-filled PLA for the look and the handwheel is PETG again for smooth operation as well as the slits holder. For slots themselves, I would suggest something with a bit of texture for more friction which is why I used cf filled PLA again but if anyone actually plans on making it might be easier to laser cut them from some sheet plastic. I would definitely try to print just a few and test what is the best thickness for the material you are using it with. I squish mine into the bed so they end up being just over half a mm thick. So simply scale them by z-axis

For the capacity, I used a smaller barrel with separators and managed to fit at least 11 of my business cards in so that would be a minimum of 55 for the whole thing. With the smooth one that number goes up and if I add a bigger one it will be even more.

If you want to see other things I design and do feel free to check my Instagram or Etsy page or my other Instagram page.
