Cable Grommet / Cover Flange (Customizable)

Do you know the problem when you drill a hole for cables in a shelf or cabinet – and it doesn't look really nice afterwards?

This little project is designed for that: a simple yet elegant cable grommet that neatly covers the drill hole.

The model consists of two flanges that are inserted into the hole from both sides. They snap into each other via the fine grooves – entirely without screws or glue. Just insert, done ✅

🔹 Standard Sizes (directly printable):

• 58 × 17 mm → suitable for a typical shelf (17 mm thick)
• 58 × 34 mm → for two boards side-by-side, e.g., when you want to run cables through two kitchen cabinets
• 29 × 25 mm → tested in a countertop, perfect for passing USB plugs

If you wish, you can easily adjust the dimensions:

• Diameter (hole size for various cables or plugs)
• Board Thickness (for thin shelves to thick countertops)

This way, the right grommet can be created for any piece of furniture – whether in the living room, kitchen, or workshop.
