Important note on print quality: I want to emphasize that the final print quality can be significantly influenced by the filament used. I have found that filaments from different brands can have properties (such as rigidity, moisture absorption, and impact resilience) that affect the result, especially in support management. Therefore, the success and cleanliness of the print depend not only on the profile but also on the quality and specific characteristics of your PLA.
The Design
I have combined my passion for the Marvel universe with practical home functionality! Here is my project for a Baby Groot-inspired pot holder, perfect for adding a touch of tenderness and nature to your desk or windowsill.
The design was conceived to be easy to print and versatile. The top part is hollow and designed to hold a small flower pot. For an impeccable finish, I made the eyes and the flower as separate parts to be glued later, facilitating both printing and painting.
Separate parts: I designed the eyes and the flower separately for better print quality.
Supports: Supports may be needed for the main body; I have tried to optimize them for easy removal and a clean finish.
Multicolored: If you own a multi-material printer, the model can be printed in different colors. Alternatively, you can print everything in a single color and add details with acrylic paint, as I did.
