Description
Most hand massagers come with a selection of plug-in tools including a ball. I wanted something smaller than the ball but not as hard as the “finger” or “thumb” accessories that came with the massager so I designed and printed this smaller ball. (Picture shows standard ball on the left and my smaller ball on the right) Fits a massage gun that takes a c12mm tool. I printed it in 95a TPU with low infill for the ball and more infill for the shaft which means the shaft is firm but the ball is slightly squidgy (stop sniggering at the back). This feels about right for me, and being smaller allows more pressure to be applied without the discomfort you get with the solid tools.
If you want it softer, reduce the infill or go for a softer TPU. If you want it firmer, more infill/walls or if you are feeling like you want it fully hard (I told you, stop sniggering) then PLA or PETG would work.
I printed it upright shaft down, ball up and it printed well. Added a couple of skirt loops to get the filament flowing. You may need a brim if your bed adhesion is not as good as mine.
Would appreciate any feedback, pictures and of course any boosts. If you have any other tool designs you fancy having, let me know as it'll be pretty simple for me to add other designs onto the shaft design I already have.
