Headphone hanger for IKEA SKÅDIS pegboard, this time featuring a modular design. Building on the success of my long hook, a hanger module was designed. If you have already printed my long hook, you can print just the single hanger, weighing around 20g. This design offers the following advantages
  • Designed specifically for headphones with padded headbands (desktop over-ear headphones only), it features an elegant shape that won't damage headphone headbands
  • Engineered for FDM printing characteristics, it requires only 27g of filament, with excellent overall rigidity
  • Modular design, decoupling the hanger from the mounting structure, making it more durable and installation more engaging
  • Thanks to the high-load-bearing hook, a long lever arm design is used, allowing headphones to hang vertically instead of leaning against the pegboard, better protecting the drivers and headphone shells
  • Full snap-fit design requires no tools for installation, and snapping it into the pegboard is as satisfying as with the long hook

It is recommended to print with PETG for better toughness and durability

Here are a few minor considerations

  • The hanger's curved surface is sampled from the 990ProX. It is known that the SHP9500 also works (9600, X1, and X2HR should also work), while compatibility with other headphones is unknown
  • Regarding lifespan, the small front clips may deform after multiple removals, but this was a compromise made for stability

Installation Notes

Due to stability considerations, the hanger should not be installed and removed too frequently. Therefore, the snap-fit is designed to be quite firm, requiring significant force during installation, but there is no need to worry about damage

Boost Me (for free)

If you like this model, please give me a free boost, it's my biggest motivation for updates

The back of the hanger features my work signature, 03 represents the third piece. If you mind, you can download the source file and modify the model yourself. No other modifications are allowed. Please note: Commercial use is strictly prohibited, and violators will be prosecuted
