Curtain Rod Mount

I designed this curtain rod mount as a simple, reliable solution for mounting a standard curtain rod to either the ceiling or close to a wall. The hole for the rod is 30mm, making it an easy fit for common 28mm curtain rods. This is Version 1 of the design — straightforward, practical, and ready to use.

Filaments (suggested):

• PLA, PETG, or ABS depending on your environment
  • PLA: indoor use, easiest to print
  • PETG: better strength and heat resistance
  • ABS: best for higher temp or sun-exposed areas

Special Print Instructions:

• No supports required
• Print orientation: on it's side
• Infill: 20–30% is more than enough for strength (i used the standard 15% and it works fine)
• Layer height: 0.2mm recommended (standard)

Non-Printed Parts:

• #6 – 1" Flat Head Wood Screw (recommended)
• Hole diameter is 3mm

Assembly Intro

Assembly is very straightforward. You’ll need only a screwdriver and the correct screws. The mount can be installed directly into wood, drywall with anchors, or ceiling beams.

Instructions

1. Print the mount(s).
2. Position where you’d like the rod to hang (ceiling or wall).
3. Use a #6 – 1" flat head wood screw (or equivalent) through the 3mm mounting hole to secure in place.
4. Slide your 28mm curtain rod through the 30mm hole.

Tip: For extra stability, install one mount on each end of the rod and additional mounts in the middle for long/heavy curtains.

Note: If you have curtains that have the loops built into them then the curtain may rub the ceiling. My wife already complained about it.
