Print Profile(1)

Description
The Hubble space telescope was the first in orbit observatory launched in 1990 and still active today. Hubble is the only telescope designed to be maintained in space by astronauts. Five Space Shuttle missions have repaired, upgraded, and replaced systems on the telescope.
For the perfect build… (optional) … you will need the following items
- *18 8mmx2mm(amazon) magnets if you wanna take it back apart
- Glue of your choice
- *200mm Concave lens(amazon) this will allow projector to broadcast bigger
- Some sort of light source
- I've had good luck with tea lights and single LEDs
- Multiple LEDs can distort the image disc, but that may be what your looking for
- Download my Printable Moon Shelf to display it on
Make your own projection discs
- Just make a disc with a 49.5mm diameter and height of 2mm
- Blank disc in raw model files
- I printed mine with only one wall
Colors Used
Gray, Silver, White, Gold, Red, Black
- To save on color changes the included jig allows for cutting of filament to correct length and then be inserted in the bottom portion of the model.
Printing
- The attached print profile has all the parts sorted and painted to minimize color changes and waste
- Most of the plates are .16 layer but the larger pieces and the stand are .2 layer height
Assembly
- Assembly is pretty straight forward and you can glue the doors on however you like
- I would print all parts and place magnets first for easiest assembly
- The Solar panels and sat dishes are just friction fit to the arms so you can position them how ever you need

The lens can be press fit in the cap
