The M9 anti-tank rifle grenade is a 22mm anti-tank rifle grenade developed, produced, and distributed by the United States for use with the M7 and M8 rifle grenade launchers It was widely used in World War II and the Korean War It was a lighter version of the M10 rifle grenade, which was too heavy to be launched from a rifle to an effective range (The M10, however, evolved into rocket-propelled ammunition, known as the Bazooka)
