Description

I had to find a way to anchor the rotating bookshelf in my baby's room and couldn't find anything. We had some jute rope and I came up with this really quick to solve the safety issue for baby climbing. I wanted to keep it simple, no bearings or complex mounting clamp. The rope I used and designed for is around 13mm diameter and is a pretty tight tapered fit. Uses a knot(s) tied below to set limit for securing. The upper component is designed to be super glued into place and isn't taking any of the load but just guiding and retaining the rope.

Since the wall mount holes are horizontal and would only ever be able to hit a single stud, I designed this instead to use two ¼"-20 snap toggles instead. The screws used on the bookshelf portion were #8 wood screws.
