Description

Boost Me (for free)

If you can, I'd love a boost! Getting this thing professionally scanned and modeled cost around $995 10 years ago. Now it's available to everyone!

I commissioned at considerable expense a professional remake of the Porsche Boxster 987 headrest / seat wind deflector inserts that commonly blow out or disappear or get stolen after I kept losing them. The replacement is quite pricey and a ripoff for what's otherwise a flimsy piece of injection molded plastic. These fit into the anti roll hoops of the car. Just like the OEM part they are best mounted with a bit of foam tape (or honestly a well placed zip tie) to ensure secure fitment so they don't blow out again at autox or HDPE. This is my own model I had professionally made at considerable expense.

Obviously since they are going to be exposed to UV I recommend not using PLA but rather ASA or PETG.

I'd strongly recommend using some vision miner NPA to get these to print. I coat my build plates in it for ABS/ASA. There's not a lot of contact with the plate to minimize supports and marring.

98756158300 and 98756158400 are the part numbers.

If you have a 986 the model is slightly different, and it is here
