Description

M18 Battery Terminal Protector

Prevent accidental shorting and damage with this Milwaukee M18 battery protector

This 3d printed M18 battery protector (also works as cap or cover) keeps terminals safe at the jobsite, in storage, or while traveling.

  • Designed using a Milwaukee M18 Red Lithium XC 5.0 battery as reference
  • Compatible with any Milwaukee M18 Battery
  • Designed to have a small amount of play to ensure compatibility while maintaining secure fit
  • Protect your batteries from dust, dirt and accidental shorting during storage or transport

Why I designed this

I travel lots for work and when going through security for flights, the security personnel always want my batteries in bags or protected in some way to prevent accidental shorting of the battery terminals. I looked around online and the options I found didn't totally appeal to me as I wanted more a sleek design.

Print Recommendations

  • Material
    • PETG or ABS for durability. PLA should be okay for light indoor use.
  • Print Orientation
    • Stand on the rear flat surface. This eliminates support requirements and allows multiple parts to fit on the bed at once.
  • Supports
    • Not required
  • Infill
    • Gyroid, 15%. Add modifier to the clip area at the front, increasing to 20% for extra strength in high-wear zones.
  • Layer height
    • .2mm recommended
