Description

Mounting bracket for attaching two 120mm fans to MSI 5070 Shadow 2x GPU

Should be compatible with any 120mm PC / case fan

The bracket is carefully designed to guide the maximum amount of air through the heatsink

This mod will make the GPU around 1cm wider on the powercable's side, check your case to make sure you have enough clearance

Ideally you want to use a filament with glass transition temperature above 70 degrees C to make sure it won't deform under intense GPU workloads. But you might be able to get away with using a normal PLA as the 120mm fans should cool it down

The bracket is 24.5cm long. If your printer has a smaller print bed, you can slice the bracket into 2 from the central beam, mount each fan separately, and join the fans together at the top with additional mounting bracket and screws

It includes a small plastic washer which can be inserted under the baseplate's top right mounting screw to fix a tilted baseplate (just for my own OCD)

To remove the shroud, unscrew the four small screws hidden under the GPU's fans

Lift the shroud from the heatsink and disconnect the fan cable

Attach two 120mm fans to the bracket with screws. You should use a fan with high static pressure (like the Arctic P12 I'm using here)

Insert the small rectangular airflow guide into the slot on the bracket, with the shorter side facing the PCIE connector's direction

You can connect the new fans to the GPU with a adaptor cable, or to the motherboard

Attach the bracket to the heatsink by lining up the four screw holes under the fans

The bracket has two zip tie mounts on the side which you can use to tidy up the cables

This deshroud mod can reduce the noise level under load significantly and lower the temps (depending on your case's ventilation)
