Description

My version of the Jaguar car bonnet (hood) ornament. It is sized similarly to the actual ornament mounted on older Jaguars. The base is longer to allow it to stand by itself. Not intended to be mounted on a car … just a nice display item.

The displayed model was printed on my Bambu P1S in PLA Silk (silver). The layer height is 0.08mm with a 50% infill (gives a bit of weight) and is oriented vertically for a good finish on the back of the jaguar. Supports are needed for the front legs and in the mouth. Removing the supports from the mouth is a bit fiddly. Use a needle file to push out any stubborn bits.

NOTE: The 3mf file has the “Slow down by height” speed option activated in Bambu Studio to avoid any adhesion problems because of the vertical orientation. If you have an adhesion failure towards the top of the model when printing slowing down the print even further should solve it.
