Silent Dice Tray - Tabletop RPG Companion

Design Objectives:
1. Suitable for tabletop RPGs and board games involving many dice - the dice rolling area has a 20cm diameter;

2. Ideal for quiet solo play at night - both the inner bottom and sides are lined with sound-dampening mats;
3. Multi-functional, combining features - both the inside and side compartments of the dice tray can store a large number of dice;

4. Designed for long-term use, both the bottom sound insulation mat and side sound insulation areas use independent structures, allowing for easy replacement of felt pads and cleaning at any time.

Composed of 4 printed components: the base (top left), lid (top right), side mat base ring (bottom left), and bottom liner tray (bottom right).

The side mat base ring facilitates attaching and replacing the side felt lining (if it gets dirty or you want to change the color);
 

The structure of the bottom liner also facilitates cleaning and replacing the bottom mat, as well as providing better sound insulation and stability for the bottom.

In addition to the printed parts, two accessories are required, which are easily available on e-commerce platforms, and are inexpensive, costing about ten RMB including shipping.

1. "Sponge mat" A sound-insulating sponge mat for the bottom, 5mm thick, slightly less than 5mm is also acceptable. Diameter 20cm or more (then cut into a circle yourself).
2. "Thickened self-adhesive felt fabric with backing glue" Choose any color you like, select a thickness of 1.2mm or less.
 

1. First, place the printed circular bottom mat on the sponge mat to cut out the required "circular sponge mat";
2. Then take a "self-adhesive felt pad" of appropriate size and stick it directly onto the "circular sponge mat", then trim off any excess area.

3. Then cut a "self-adhesive felt pad" 3.3cm wide and 61.55cm long and stick it to the inner side of the ring
4. Then assemble.
