Description

Summary

Clean up your desktop the simple way. This grommet drops into a Ø55 mm hole and sits 25 mm deep. Install the rotating lid or leave the lid off entirely for a wide pass-through. No supports needed.

Highlights

  • Fits a 55 mm desk hole; 25 mm overall depth.
  • Rotating lid to adjust the cable opening (lid is optional).
  • Two files: Plug.stl (body) and PlugLid.stl (lid).
  • Support-free print. Drop-in design.
  • Printed in ABS here; the textured surface adds extra grip on the lid.

What & why

A simple, durable cable pass-through that hides rough hole edges and keeps cables tidy.

Print settings (recommended)

  • Material: ABS (recommended for a snug, slightly grippy fit). PLA/PETG will also work.
  • Layer height: 0.2 mm
  • Walls: 3 perimeters
  • Infill: 15–25%
  • Supports: None (model is designed to print cleanly without supports).
  • Orientation: Flat base on the build plate; lid printed flat.

Assembly & use

  • Press-fit the body into your Ø55 mm hole.
  • Place the lid on top and rotate to size the opening to your cable bundle (or omit the lid for a full-open pass-through).

If you print it, please post a Make 🙌
Photos + your slicer settings help others get a perfect press-fit on the first try. I’m happy to iterate with alternate fits if needed.
