Description

This is a face plate cover for a single toggle/rocker light switch.

BE SAFE! PLA (and most other standard printing materials) are NOT fire-rated. This cover plate is designed to go OVER your regular light switch plate; just secure both plates using regular plate screws. I've included an optional edge surround in two different heights if you want to fully cover the edges of your plate to the wall.

If you choose to use the edge surrounds, I recommend a drop of glue or three around the perimeter, but it may not be necessary depending your wall (you can probably just hold it in place by tightening the screws).

If you want fewer filament changes, you can download the model and select everything EXCEPT the “Main Backer” part (and the edge backers, no need to adjust those). Reduce the Z height only to 80%. This will knock off 3 to 4 filament changes depending on your printer settings. A warning, though: if you keep the dark backer color and use lighter colors on top you may get shadowing.

Let me know if y'all want a non-AMS version!
