This is "Betty," and she's not like the other little girls. While they play with dolls and skip rope, Betty has a very specific dietary requirement: fresh brains.

Little Betty woke up one morning with an unbearable, rumbling hunger. Not for toast, not for cereal, but for a specific, squishy, and deliciously cerebral snack. Her parents, understanding her unique needs, had prepared a lovely, plump brain for her.

She took the first bite with gusto! "Mmm, warm and chewy!" she thought, savoring the flavor. Suddenly, she heard the front door creak open. Her next-door neighbor, Mrs. Higgins, was coming over to borrow a cup of sugar! Betty panicked. She quickly held the brain up to hide her messy face, not wanting Mrs. Higgins to think she had bad table manners.

"Oh, Betty, you look like you've been eating something delicious!" chirped Mrs. Higgins.

Betty, mid-chew, just managed a muffled, "Mmm-hmmm!" while trying not to drip brain-juice on the carpet. She might be a hungry, tattered zombie, but she still wants to be polite!
