Yarn bowl with optimized flower geometry

Description
Since my girlfriend's knitting and crochet project is getting more attention again, I wanted to print a yarn bowl that keeps the yarn clean and is easy to use. Many designs are based on wood carvings and are not optimal for 3D printing. That's why I created this version, which is specifically optimized for 3D printing
Design Features:
- Overlapping walls guide the yarn securely – without any spirals
- Compact single part with integrated bottom, no separate base plate required
- Printable without supports (max overhang ~50°)
- Recesses in the bottom (20 mm diameter) for small weights such as washers, nuts, or coins, which can be fixed
Recommended Print Settings:
- Printer: Bambulab A1 mini
- Raft: No
- Supports: No
- Layer height: 0.2 mm
- Infill: 20 %
- Filament: PLA
- Extruder temperature: 190 °C
Note on Supports:
Some slicers automatically generate supports for overhangs >45°. For best results, supports should be disabled, as the design is easily printable up to 50°
Post-processing / Weights in the Bottom:
The bottom recesses can be filled with small weights and then covered, for example, with paper or felt, to achieve a clean look
Original Model:
This design is based on the original model “Optimized Yarn Bowl” by flightless, available at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6883047
What Was Changed:
The petal geometry has been revised to improve compatibility with a wide range of PLA filaments. This allows both matte and glossy filaments to be printed without problems, and the yarn guide works more reliably
