Description

Small World Clock Face

Show off your Disneyland or Disney World love on the wall of your room or office! No better way to do it than to rep the greatest ride in the parks!

Final dimensions: 246 cm x 246 cm x 24mm

It works great with a 0.4mm nozzle and I just printed it in the PLA, in the colors as listed below.

PLA Filament Colors

Obviously you can print this is any filament colors or materials you wish, but in case you are curious I used the following:

Consists of 5 Plates

In order to save filament and make the print less challenging, I have broken up the model into 5 places, with a total of 6 parts. Each of the parts should snap together easily, without needing any glue. The five plates are:

  1. Clock Face - The base of the whole thing, which includes the eyes, cheeks, and smile
  2. Whiskers - Two of the “whiskers” that attach to the cheeks
  3. Nose - To make the layer lines less noticeable, the nose prints vertically
  4. Head Diamond
  5. Chin

NOTE: This can be a challenging print, but if you follow these suggestions carefully, it'll turn out great

The main issue is bed adhesion on the first layer and occasional warping on the corners. For the best results and to avoid any failed prints, I highly recommend doing all of the following:

  1. Clean your build plate thoroughly before starting
  2. Use a very slow first layer speed, something like 15-20 mm/s (this is pre-configured in the print profile)
  3. Watch the first layer to make sure it adheres properly. If it succeeds, then the rest of the print should as well.
  4. Once each plate succeeds, leave the print on the build plate for 15-20 mins so it cools completely before removing it. Removing prematurely may result in a warped sign. This is especially necessary on the whiskers, which can bend easily if still warm.

If you follow the steps above, you'll have a great addition to your home or office that will look great on any wall :)
