Firing Death Star Lamp

This is a remix from the Death Star lamp made by @kiloler. This print profile solves some defects from the original.

Use IKEA Fado 17cm lamp. Use IKEA LUNNOM 100Lm bulb.

1. Print the Death Star. PLA is fine, 100% infill.
2. Print the drill guide. Use it to make the drills on the Death Star with a 3mm bit.
3. Print the laser.
4. Place the laser in the holes.

Ive made the firing laser in translucent TPU. Printed on the first try, but as its a thin and tall model with some overhang, the result will not be perfect. But I think the imperfections make the laser beam more organic. You could print in translucent PETG and the result could be better. Also light transmision in PETG may be nicer.

After printing you may need to blow with hot air to remove stringing if using TPU.

Result is very nice :)

PS: soon I will upload a Death Star model with the holes already made, so no need to drill. But Im having a hard time editing the STL with so many triangles.
