Description

Introducing "NObody - reader," a contemplative addition to the NOBody series. This minimalist sculpture captures the quiet moment of being lost in a book, featuring the signature figure deeply engaged in reading. It's a piece designed to resonate with book lovers and bring a sense of peaceful focus to any space.

The NOBody Aesthetic:

Consistent with the NOBody series, the "reader" figure uses minimalist form and posture to convey meaning without facial features. The pose captures the universal act of reading, inviting personal connection and reflection.

Designed for Easy Multi-Color Printing (No AMS Needed):

The book itself is cleverly designed in two separate pieces – the Book Cover and the Book Pages. This allows you to easily print them in different colors without requiring a multi-material system like an AMS. Simply print the parts separately and assemble! Both the Book Cover and Book Pages are designed to print completely support-free.

Printing Recommendations:

This project consists of three main printable components: the NOBody Figure, the Book Cover, and the Book Pages.

  • NOBody Figure:
    • Material: PLA or PETG. Matte or textured filaments recommended.
    • Layer Height: 0.2mm.
    • Supports: Tree/organic supports ARE REQUIRED for the best results (e.g., under chin, arms, legs depending on the pose).
    • Infill: 8% (or as specified in the .3mf profile).
    • Fuzzy Skin: Recommended for the signature textured finish (apply in slicer).
  • Book Cover:
    • Material: PLA or PETG (choose your desired cover color).
    • Layer Height: 0.2mm.
    • Supports: None needed.
    • Infill: 8% (or as specified in the .3mf profile).
  • Book Pages:
    • Material: PLA or PETG (White or off-white recommended).
    • Layer Height: 0.2mm (or finer like 0.16mm for subtle page lines if desired).
    • Supports: None needed.
    • Infill: 8% (or as specified in the .3mf profile).

Assembly:

  1. Print all three components.
  2. Carefully remove support material from the NOBody Figure.
  3. Assemble the book by placing the printed Book Pages inside the printed Book Cover. A small amount of glue may be needed depending on tolerances.
  4. Place the assembled book into the hands of the NOBody Figure. Glue may be used for a permanent hold if desired.
