Description
This is a simple 3D-printable kit for creating an artificial Allium flower.
The model consists of one central hub and 115 small flower pieces that are assembled using wooden toothpicks (Ø 2 mm, length 80 mm) and a bit of wood glue.
I mounted the center piece on a 6 mm stainless steel rod as a stem.
Once assembled, the flower forms a decorative sphere with a diameter of about 170 mm.
The finished Allium is designed as an indoor decorative object. It’s probably not weatherproof for long-term outdoor use, since the wooden toothpicks can absorb moisture and PLA becomes brittle under UV light.
Print, glue, and enjoy your own geometric Allium bloom! 🌸
Update 17.02.2026
I’ve uploaded a smaller version of the flowers.
For one complete Allium flower, print one core and 115 of the small flowers.
Before assembly, cut the toothpicks roughly in half.
