This elegant Christmas star is the perfect DIY decoration for the Advent and Christmas season.
I 3D printed it in white PLA – simple, modern, yet classically festive.
The star is hollow inside and offers enough space to insert a small LED light chain. This creates a soft, even glow that bathes any room in a warm Christmas atmosphere.
Simply use a normal, battery-operated LED light chain for this, which is available very cheaply in almost every store or online during the pre-Christmas season – no special components are required.
The ideal length of the light chain is about 4 meters, so that the light is evenly distributed inside.
A special detail: In the upper tip, there is a small hole where a Christmas tree bauble can be attached.
A thin string or a fine wire can be used for this. This gives the star a particularly festive and individual look.

💡 Tip
Depending on the filament color and wall thickness, the light effect varies – with slightly transparent material, a particularly soft, atmospheric glow is created. A warm white LED light chain ensures the most beautiful effect.
