Cat on Pumpkin Storage Box/Candy Box (no AMS needed)

Halloween is coming, and a cute black cat is lying on a pumpkin.

Make a Pumpkin Storage Box.

Assembly Instructions:

• Cat Part:

  • Eye Assembly: Gold eyeballs and black pupils, just find the alignment position for easy installation.

    • Image description: Viewed from the side, the eye is a trapezoidal structure. Hold the black piece vertically, align the upper slanted surface with the upper groove of the gold eyeball, and it will snap in easily.

    

              If it doesn't snap in, try swapping the left and right eyeballs, maybe they are reversed.

              Tip: Look for the Z-seam of the black pupil. I drew the seam for the left eye on the upper left diagonal and for the right eye on the upper right diagonal, which directly determines the direction.

    

     

  • Then place the assembled eyes into the cat's eye sockets. As shown in the figure: The lower edge of the eye is wider, and the upper edge is narrower. It snaps in very easily. If it doesn't snap in, you can change the angle to find the correct position.

  • Rear Paw Assembly: There are many parts for the cat's rear paws, and it's hard to distinguish the 3 small oval parts for the left and right paws. Therefore, I specifically drew their Z-seams on the upper part of the ovals, as shown in the figure, to quickly determine the direction. As for which groove to put them in, it is recommended to take them off the build plate and place them on the table one by one according to their positions on the print to be ready for use.

    • If you get them mixed up, it's okay. They are all similar in size, just assemble them by feel.

    

  • Square Blocks: Final step of cat assembly. Insert the two square blocks into the back of the cat. You may need to use a small hammer to tap them in. If you just press, they might not fully embed. As shown in the figure, this is the installed state.

    

     

• Final Assembly Step:

  Align the square blocks on the cat with the grooves on the box lid (the grooves are offset for easier alignment), glue them together, and you're done!

  

• Also a reminder: If you feel that the box lid and the box body don't fit snugly, I placed the pumpkin's Z-seam at the back. When the lid's seam aligns with the main body's seam (cat's right paw facing the Z-seam), this angle provides the snuggest fit.
