H2s\H2d air filtration, filtering exhaust air in cooling mode -- affordable, simple, practical

I bought an H2s on Double Eleven, specifically for its H-series filtration system. Little did I know that the H-series filtration system doesn't filter PLA/PETG filaments! Although the smell isn't overpowering, it's still unbearable

So in the past few days, I've been studying many filtration solutions and researching filtration materials

Initially, I considered venting out the window, but for me, external venting has obvious drawbacks

• The tube is too ugly, it looks bad no matter how it's placed, and modifying the window also looks bad
• In northern regions, the indoor and outdoor temperature difference is large, constantly drawing indoor heat outside is a pure waste of energy

So I could only consider internal circulation with filtration. It needed to address three requirements of mine

• The machine is placed against a wall, so it can't be too thick or ugly
• The airflow must be high and not affect printing quality
• It has to be cheap! It has to be cheap! It has to be cheap! I'm saying this three times because it's important

That's how this model came about. After multiple modifications and optimizations, it solved the problem. The filtration effect is good, and the room is odorless!

If you have a better solution, please let me know

• Only 57mm thick, even thinner than the power cord's space
• Large-flow automotive activated carbon filter cartridges, using two directly (mainly because I happened to have two). After a few days of testing, the exhaust fan's automatic power is the same as when no filter was installed

• One piece is less than 9 yuan, and two pieces are less than 20 yuan

  If you also like this solution, when slicing for printing, it will warn about overhangs, but you can ignore it. The model is too tall, and I've 'roughly' drawn supports. It's good enough, haha, to save material.

  Why 'roughly' drawn, see the picture. The overhang texture is all in internal areas, it doesn't affect external aesthetics or use at all. Saving a hundred grams of material is very cost-effective. Alternatively, modifying the overhang bridging speed can greatly improve it, but I don't think it's necessary~

  

  Installation Materials

• 4 screws within 3*12mm length, to be fixed into the reserved screw holes at the back of the machine. Screws from a disassembled new machine can be used
• Filter cartridge: Search 'Feng Dun activated carbon filter cartridge' on Taobao, dimensions 24.4*7.6*2.2cm, size 4 activated carbon filter cartridge
• Silicone foam sealing strip, 2*10mm size. The foam strip I bought was misrepresented by the seller in reverse, its width reached 12mm. So the sealing strip width I reserved is 12mm
