Description
Transformers: Beast Wars (Transformers: Beast Wars) is an American sci-fi mecha animated series produced by Hasbro, directed by Steve Sacks, Colin Davis, and others, written by Bob Forward and others, and with voice acting by Jim Byrnes, Gary Chalk, and others. It is a sequel to Transformers G1.
The story tells how the descendants of the Autobots and Decepticons, the Maximals and Predacons, fight each other on prehistoric Earth. The two sides clash over energy and also encounter aliens. Ultimately, the Maximals defeat the Predacons and return to Cybertron. This animation was a significant upgrade to the original Transformers series, utilizing the then-nascent 3D technology, with strong three-dimensional visuals. It won the 1998 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Animation.
The entire series has three seasons and 52 episodes. Season 1 premiered in Canada on August 6, 1996, Season 2 premiered on October 26, 1997, and Season 3 premiered on October 24, 1998. On June 9, 2023, the live-action movie Transformers: Rise of the Beasts was released.
