Alien facehugger wearable (Mascara abrazacaras)

I am sharing a Facehugger mask design from the movie Alien the Eighth Passenger. In relation to it, I want to give credit to the following two designs: The first is “Wearable Alien Facehugger Mask (Printables.com)” from which I have taken the elements I modified, I will detail how later. And the second is “Facehugger Mask - wearable on top of N95 (thinguiverse.com)”, from which I took inspiration for my adaptation, after downloading and printing it, and finding certain aspects I didn't like about it.

MODIFICATIONS TO THE ORIGINAL MODEL:

General: The size of the model has been increased by 10%.

Body: The height of the body was increased, then a duplicate was used to create an internal hollow. After that, the interior edges were smoothed with meshmixer to make it more comfortable to wear on the face. Additionally, because some walls were too thin, they were also thickened. The position of the sacs was modified to leave space to also modify the position of the leg attachments, so that after installing them our face would be more visible and we wouldn't lose vision. Most of the surface was polished to integrate the leg attachments. The rear area was extended, where there was a very pronounced edge where the tail fits.

The area of the mask where the nose rests has been smoothed so that the mask is not uncomfortable.

Legs: The surfaces, which had too many edges, and the sharp angles of the connection areas between legs have been smoothed. A connection has been made between the final claws of the legs, in two different sizes, to act as a headband, and to ensure the Facehugger remains snug and secure on the face. Additionally, 4 cm have been added to the long legs, and 2 cm to the medium legs, so that the headband can adjust to all head sizes.

Tail: Its size has been increased by 5%, because after successive modifications it felt a bit loose.

PRINT PLATES

• PLATE 1: Facehugger Body
• PLATE 2: 8 complete legs with their three phalanges (use this plate if the retaining headband is not desired)
• PLATE 3: 6 complete legs with their three phalanges (use this plate if the front leg is desired to be the headband)
• PLATE 4: 2 long legs 4 cm longer, two medium legs 2 cm longer, small headband and large headband (on this plate, choose the components you want to print if you are clear about your measurements, otherwise, print all pieces and try different combinations)
• PLATE 5: Tail (this is the long option, of the two offered by the original design, the short one can be downloaded from printables.com, but it will not wrap around your neck in the same way)

FOR POST-PROCESSING I RECOMMEND USING TWO LAYERS OF “LA PAJARITA” BRAND GLASS LACQUER, THE FIRST LAYER WILL NOT SHOW GOOD RESULTS, BUT IT WILL SERVE AS A PRIMER, THE SECOND WILL LEAVE MANY NUANCES. YOU CAN GET IT AT THE FOLLOWING LINK:
