Inspired by the Chinese Baby Floor Drain that I previously posted in the discussion area, this brand-new designed floor drain focuses more on the speed and flow of the spiral drainage, thereby increasing drainage capacity and blocking hair and other debris. Through research and improvements in fluid dynamics, it's now even more powerful!
The new floor drain only requires 11g of filament and one hour to print. However, there's a trade-off; the new model cannot be printed without supports like the floor drain I previously released. Conversely, due to its more complex structural design, it requires more supports. But don't worry, even with supports, you won't use more than 12g of filament~
Note: This floor drain requires supports for printing and has a higher printing difficulty. The author tested it with official PLA Basic material. For other materials, achieving a perfect print might require additional printer calibration specific to the material type. If you are not confident with the material and your printer, it is still recommended to print the previous design: Chinese Baby Floor Drain, as it does not require supports, has low material requirements, and has been successfully reproduced by many users!
I haven't designed many printing solutions for the new floor drain, so everyone is welcome to try better layouts and supports and upload them to help more people!
Note: Due to the lightweight design of the floor drain, please carefully remove the supports. Do not use excessive force to create miracles. Tools similar to diagonal cutters will make it much easier to separate the supports.
