Spooky LED Pumpkin with Spiders

Important note on print quality: I want to emphasize that the final print quality can be significantly influenced by the filament used. I have found that filaments from different brands can have properties (such as rigidity, moisture absorption, and impact resilience) that affect the outcome, especially in support management. Therefore, the success and cleanliness of the print depend not only on the profile but also on the quality and specific characteristics of your PLA. In case of problems such as the extruder touching or breaking supports, I strongly suggest performing a printer calibration. Often, accurate calibration can resolve many issues and drastically improve the final quality.
 

The Design

Get ready to light up Halloween night with this spooky and detailed pumpkin! I designed this classic ornament to capture the essence of the holiday, making it both functional and customizable for all makers.

The pumpkin is designed to accommodate an LED candle (maximum diameter 35mm, maximum height 50mm) inside, thanks to a removable bottom cover that allows easy access. This creates a luminous and eerie effect, perfect for decorating your home or garden on the spookiest night of the year.

To maximize customization even without a multi-color printer, the stem is printed separately. This allows you to print it in a different color (e.g., green or brown) for a more realistic contrast. The use of the bottom cover is optional: you can choose to print it or leave the pumpkin open!

Additionally, I have included separate spiders that you can print and place on the pumpkin as you wish, adding an extra touch of terror and personalization!

Printing

LED Candle: Designed for LED candles with a maximum diameter of 35mm and a maximum height of 50mm. Make sure to use only LED candles to avoid heat risks.

Stem: Separately printable for color customization.

Included Spiders: The model includes small, separately printable spiders for extra customization. Place them wherever you like with a dab of glue!

Bottom Cover: The cover is designed to close the base and securely hold the LED candle. The use of the bottom cover is optional.

Supports: I used supports for this model, but I worked to optimize them as best as possible, to facilitate detachment from the part and leave a clean finish. Accurate printer calibration can prevent problems.

Recommended filament: For the luminous effect, translucent orange or translucent yellow filament is ideal. Alternatively, you can use an opaque filament and paint it. I tested this model with Sunlu PLA. Results may vary slightly with different filaments.
