Classic WWII Tank KV-2
Print Profile(1)

Description
In the armored technology race on the eve of World War II, the Soviet KV-2 heavy tank emerged as a unique 'mobile fortress,' its origins deeply marked by wartime demands and emergency development. Officially commissioned in 1940, the KV-2 was primarily positioned as a 'breakthrough tank,' becoming one of the few pieces of equipment at the time that could balance heavy armor protection with large-caliber offensive firepower. Although its production volume was limited (only about 334 units), its creation is a classic case of Soviet emergency armor development, filling a battlefield void with a 'firepower-first' design philosophy and accumulating critical experience for subsequent heavy tank development.
