Description

This is The Card Case. It Is the perfect deck box for your Pokemon, MTG, Yugioh, Lorcana, One Piece, or any other kind of deck! The lid slides and fits on securely without requiring any additional hardware. It is fully parametric, so you can customize it with the MakerWorld Customizer. It uses minimal filament, protects, and shows off your cards!

Note: If you are wanting a deck box for your MTG Commander deck, I would recommend checking out the various versions of my Commander Case series. These have a special slot (or slots) for your commander (or commanders!) as well as some other neat features like the Sleeve Snap

There are 4 pre-configured versions of the deck box in the print profile:

  • 60 Card - Single Sleeved
    • Designed for Dragon Shield matte sleeves and the slightly larger ones that come with Pokemon ETB's. Should be compatible with most sleeves
  • 60 Card - Double Sleeved
  • 100 Card - Single Sleeved
    • Designed for Dragon Shield matte sleeves and the slightly larger ones that come with Pokemon ETB's. Should be compatible with most sleeves
  • 100 Card - Double Sleeved

Note: The models in the print profile and customizer are updated slightly from what is shown in the pics. Things like the front view-port for the double sleeved decks and the placement of the magnet slots has been fine tuned.

You can of course configure this box to whatever need you have, though! If you need any help doing so, please leave a comment on this post and I would be glad to assist!

Aside from modifying the parameters of the box, there are also features you can turn on and off in the customizer:

  • Magnet slots
  • Grip
  • D̶e̶c̶k̶ ̶n̶a̶m̶e̶ ̶t̶e̶x̶t̶
    • This is enabled in the modeling software, but awaiting an update from MakerWorld enabling the use of text variables

Adding magnets is completely optional, and you will see if you print the case that they are not needed. In the customizer, you can toggle whether or not there are magnet slots along the slide, but I would recommend printing it with the slots available. It will not affect the fit of the lid, and its possible that in the future you will want to add the magnets in as the plastic deforms slightly over time. If you do want to add magnets to yours, this was designed for 1/4 x 1/8 x 1/16 Inch Neodymium Rare Earth Block Magnets N48 from “totalElement.” They currently sell for $15.49 for a pack of 150 with the price going down steadily as you buy additional packs at the same time. They also offer free shipping in the USA. I have bought and used magnets from totalElement for a few different personal and professional projects, and they have been great. They win on price, ship quickly, and have always been high quality. I am in the USA and get free and fast shipping. I'm not sure what its like shipping outside the USA, so if anyone finds better suppliers for inside or outside the USA, please share below in the comments and I will add notes of those here!

The grip is turned off by default, but you can enable it and customize it in the customizer. Here is what it looks like when it is turned on:

If you do use the customizer, make sure you bring the downloaded, customized model into the print profile posted on this page! There are some key settings that need to be set:

  • Wall generator: Arachne
  • Seam position: Back
    • Then you need to make sure the box is positioned like the others in the print profile

That should be it! If you print some of these for your decks, I'd love to see them!

Boost Me (for free)

A lot of time, money, and effort has gone into this project. If you have benefited from it and have any spare boosts, I would greatly appreciate them!

If you love the design, and are able, feel free to support me with a tip on Ko-Fi! It would be much appreciated as many hours and spools of filament have gone into the design and fine tuning of this version.
