Trader Joe's Hand Cream Cap with Strap
Print Profile(1)

Description
I always keep my Trader Joe’s hand cream in the car. Every time I opened the cap it slipped out of my hand and fell somewhere between the seats. Once it dropped it was almost impossible to find, and recently I lost it again. So I decided to make my own cap.
The design is almost identical to the original one. I made the angled edges slightly rounder and thicker for a sturdier feel. I also redesigned the strap so it is flexible and does not break easily. The thinner larger loop attaches to the cap, and the smaller thicker ring connects to the hand cream tube.
Hopefully no one will ever lose their hand cream cap again!
*If you’re using the Fresh Blooms version, print the smaller-fit model.
**Printing note (strap material):
I originally printed the strap in PETG, but it turned out to be more brittle than expected. I’ve already had the strap snap twice during regular use. While PETG should theoretically handle higher temperatures, in practice the flexibility wasn’t great. You may actually get better durability by printing the strap in PLA instead, even for car use. I’m still testing how it holds up in summer heat, but for now PLA seems to be the more reliable option for the strap.
