Weighted Spool Balls – Stops Spool Jumping in your AMS

When spools get light near the end of a roll, they can jump, slip, or misfeed inside the AMS—causing filament breaks, tangles, and failed prints. These Weighted Spool Balls adds controlled downward pressure to the spool core, helping maintain consistent drag all the way to the last meter.  Each ball is less than 10 grams of filament, printed in ABS for strength and heat resistance but PETG should work fine as well.

✔ Prevents spool jumping / runaway crossover filament
✔ Keeps tension on low-weight or partial spools
✔ Reduces tangles, misfeeds, and AMS load errors
✔ Drop-in design — no tools, no modifications

Just print the two pieces, add your favorite weight (I used 9 oz of lead) then simply screw the two halves together.  Now place the weighted ball into the spool hub, and print with confidence.
