Description

Sticky notes just got a 3d printed upgrade.

Devo4D presents a portable travel size notepad specially designed for sticky notes  to capture ideas, reminders,  and doodles on the go.

I have been using it for a month now and even took it on my travels. It has helped me keep track of my travel itineraries, record ideas on the fly, and jot down quick measurements when designing accessories and replacement parts.

The Notepad consists of:

- 5 writing boards ( or more if you wish)
- 1 retaining ring
- a front cover
- a back cover with small channel to hold a standard hair elastic band to keep the notepad secure.

Each writing board can flip 360 degrees for compact note taking.

With 5 writing boards, there will be 10 writing surfaces to utilize plus the inside back of the front cover. The remaining Sticky notes can be stored on the inside of the back cover to replace used Sticky notes on each writing board when needed. Therefore, with a fresh stack of 50 sheets of Sticky notes, 10 can be used on the boards (2 on each board), 1 on the back of the front cover, and the remaining 39 sheets can be stored on the back cover for future use.

Assembly Information:

• The retaining ring is designed with a narrow slit that allows the writing boards, front and back cover to slide in securing all the components that make up the notepad in place.

• It is recommended to use PETG to print the retaining ring since it will need to be flex open and close to slide all components in. PLA may suffer creep with repeated opening and closing which may result in the narrow slip staying open wide enough to allow any one of the components to accidentally slip out of the retaining ring.

• The writing boards, front and back cover may be printed in the material of your choice. The print profile available is for PETG for all components.

• The front and back cover will require an AMS for simple multi colour printing.

• For smooth writing with the writing boards, it is recommended that you permanently glue a piece of card stock paper on the boards, inside the front and back cover first and place the Sticky notes on top. The sticky notes will stick better to paper than to the 3d printed plastic. A card stock paper template for the writing boards is available in the print profile for easy tracing and cutting.

• The hair elastic band used for this design can be found at any dollar store, Walmart, or hair store. To install the hair elastic band, stretch and slide the band into the channel. Applying a small drop of glue in the channel will prevent the elastic band from falling out when using the notepad.

• See video below for more details on assembly.

I Hope you find The Sticky Note Notepad useful as I do. It has helped me organize my thoughts, ideas, and plan itineraries for my travel adventures on the fly so far. I hope it can do the same for you too.
