🎣 3D-Printed Wobbler – Self-Developed & Successfully Tested 🐟
I **designed, tested, and continuously improved this wobbler within a month** until it **runs cleanly and stably**
With **14 cm in length** and **approx 43 g in weight (incl lead & hooks)**, it is perfect for various predatory fish
It is printed from **PLA** and can then be individually refined – **appearance & durability can be significantly improved**
🖨️ Print Settings (Recommendation)
🧱 **3 walls (Bottom shell layers: 1)**
🧩 **35% Infill**
🔥 **200°C Extruder**
🛏️ **60°C Heatbed**
🪵 **Material: PLA (Polylactide)**
🔩 Additionally Required
⚠️ **Not included, but necessary:**
- **Steel leader with 3 split rings** **or**
- **1mm-1.5mm thick wire** **or**
- **3 screw eyes**
- **about 7g lead / steel balls**
🎨 Finish & Durability
For **better appearance and longer lifespan** I treated the wobbler:
🎨 painted
🧪 coated with **epoxy resin** to optimally protect the paint
✅ Why you should recreate it:
🎣 **Clean movement in water**
📏 **14 cm – ideal size**
⚖️ **Approx 43 g total weight (closer to 50g with post-processing)**
🖨️ **Easy to print with PLA**
🎨 **Individually customizable**
🛠️ **Perfect for DIY anglers & tinkerers**
💬 **Feedback, tests & suggestions for improvement are welcome in the comments!**
👉 **Download, print, refine – and then: Good luck fishing 🐟**
🛠️Here is the assembly guide:
- Print the file with a layer height of 0.08mm (high quality recommended for painting) or 0.2mm (Print and Fish) layer height
Either bend a wire axle from a 1mm-1.5mm thick stainless steel wire (or glue in screw eyes. IMPORTANT ONLY WITH GOOD ADHESIVE LIKE 2K EPOXY ADHESIVE OR DIRECTLY EPOXY RESIN)

- Add weights (in my case 2x 6mm steel ball or about 3g lead. I heated the front ball and pressed it in for better hold. It is important to remove the resulting edge, otherwise the halves will not fit together perfectly)
- (Optional until step 8) Coat the lure with a layer of epoxy resin and then sand it so that there are no print lines later in the paint
Paint the lure as desired, I use an airbrush gun for this (I think stencils and UV colors are great😊)

- I also think big eyes look cool
- Apply another protective layer of epoxy so that the paint is optimally protected (for the best result, use a lure carousel)
Attach hooks and split rings. I use VMC hooks and split rings for all my lures (whether 18cm catfish cranks or 13.5cm jerks). I find that the **VMC BN 7554 Black Nickel 2X Treble Hooks** in size **N°1** (NOT 1/0) fit perfectly with the **VMC Split Ring X-Strong** in size **N°4 (36.5KG)** for this lure
HAVE FUN ON THE WATER AND CATCH SOME NICE FISH WITH IT💪🐟
