UPDATE: I've added a TPU dowel sleeve so the bike isn't sitting directly on the dowel, this should spread to load more evenly and reduce the risk of damaging the paintwork.

A clean, strong, and minimal bike wall mount designed for cyclists who want to display their bikes - not just store them.

Unlike most single-screw mounts, this design uses a dual-screw top anchor that prevents rotation and spreads the load evenly. It’s ideal for drywall (I used Bullfix Universal Heavy Duty Plasterboard Fixings) or stud mounting, combining easy installation with real structural integrity.

The dowel hole is chamfered on both sides for a smooth fit and added flexibility so you can:

• Screw into the dowel to lock it in place, or
• Drive a screw through into a wall anchor for extra stability.

Includes optional screw covers for a polished, finished look.

Tested with 15kg on each bracket - zero flex or creep after 48 hours continuous load.

Printing Recommendations

• Material: PETG or ASA (for long-term strength)
• Infill: 25–30 % gyroid
• Walls: 4+
• Supports: None (if printed flat)
• Layer height: 0.2 mm
• Dowel diameter: 28-29mm
• Dowel length: 250–300 mm

Mounting Notes

• Works with drywall anchors or studs.
• Chamfered dowel hole allows dual mounting method (into dowel / into wall).
• For added protection, add felt or soft pads where the dowel contacts the frame.
• Each mount supports >10 kg; combined setup easily holds road or gravel bikes.
