P2S Energy Chain Guide ⧸ No Slipping, No Rubbing

The rear section of the Toolhead PTFE tube, or rather the lack of proper guidance, never sat right with me. Feels the same for you?

Designed as part of my ongoing collection of practical Bambu Lab upgrades. Each model is conceived, printed, and endurance-tested on my own machines, refined through dozens of iterations to match the printer’s true mechanical behavior. This quick print clips right onto the energy chain, locks firmly in place, and stays there thanks to a small stop tab that prevents it from sliding. Now the PTFE tube sits perfectly inside the rear part of the chain, exactly where it should, with smooth, reliable movement.

Caution: Avoid fixing the PTFE tube behind the existing clip. Doing so can create excessively tight bend radii, which may stress brittle filaments and increase wear on the PTFE tube. Tight bends also lead to faster degradation and more frequent tube replacement. 
Instead of adding more clips, use my Love Beads (#27).

I printed mine in ASA for temperature resistance, durability, and flexibility.

And remember: PTFE tubes are wear parts. Good guidance means they last longer, but they won’t last forever.

Please note: this model can be installed on the X2D without any issues and fits perfectly while also looking great. However, the PTFE tube routing on the X2D differs slightly from the P2S. For that reason, I marked the model as not compatible, even though it physically fits and works perfectly on the X2D.
