42 Stepper Motor Thrust Bearing Adapter

It is not suitable to use a coupler to connect a lead screw to a common 42 stepper motor, because the lead screw will generate a reaction force, and the 42 stepper motor cannot withstand downward pressure, the internal bearings of the motor have spring washers that will be compressed, and the bearings themselves are not designed to bear thrust.

You need to purchase a thrust bearing with model number F9-20mm (height 7mm)

Installation steps:

1. Assemble the printed parts (insert the locating core into the sleeve, with the washer's protrusion facing down)
2. Place the assembled printed part onto the motor shaft (protrusion facing down)
3. Place the thrust bearing
4. Place the rigid coupler, press down firmly and simultaneously tighten the coupler screws (ensure the coupler is in tight contact with the thrust bearing)
