Description

A fully parametric MOLLE / PALS panel insert designed to slide into a MOLLE/PALS slot and secure objects using a bolt + threaded insert (or a bolt + nut, with some effort). It’s built from two stacked bodies: a base plate behind the grid and a raised section sized to fit the slot. Both sections have independently adjustable dimensions, corner radii, and optional 3D edge-fillets.

An optional (enabled by default) “seam-healer” block automatically fills the joint between the two plates when edge rounding is used, eliminating visible seams or print artifacts at the transition. A single through-hole defaults to centre but can be offset in X/Y if needed.

Let me know if there is interest for a version that can add countersinks, multiple holes, alternate hole patterns, or anything else - this was just the basic set of options I needed this week to mount a bunch of things in my truck.

The flat mounting plates in the last photo were created using this SCAD https://makerworld.com/en/models/1881514-parametric-flat-mounting-plate-w-custom-holes

UPDATE: 2025/11/26 - added captive nut option
