Velvet Eclipse (13905) / Filament with spool / 1 kg

Description

I created this model to test printing with dual-color and tri-color filaments. I wanted something that printed quickly, in vase mode, and kept track of the orientation of the model on the print plate.

Sides are labelled based on looking in the door on a P1S printer:

  • F = Front, toward the door
  • L = Left side (viewers left)
  • R = Right side (viewer's right)
  • B = Back, furthest from the door

This allows me to judge where the colors of multi-colored filament are going to land when printed. Then I can orient my real prints to select the best side for the front.

Filaments used in the animated image are:

  • Bambu Dual Silk PLA - Velvet Eclipse (black/red)
  • NuMakers Tri-Color Silk PLA - Gold-Silver-Copper
  • NuMakers Tri-Color Silk PLA - Purple-Orange-Black
