Designed with a clever visual illusion, the joyful pup appears to float gently in mid-air, supported only by a beautifully tied gift ribbon around its neck. The ribbon loops beneath the dog, creating a graceful stand that makes the entire figure look wonderfully weightless and full of Christmas charm. The model comes in four delightful versions: one with a tall, elegant top hat, one with a playful small top hat, one with a classic big Santa hat, and one with a cute miniature Santa hat. Each variation adds its own personality, making the dog perfect for decorating shelves, windowsills, Christmas villages, or festive displays. With its soft shapes, friendly expression, and charming holiday accessories, this model embodies warmth, joy, and seasonal magic.

Please read before printing:

This model features fine details and delicate structures.
Make sure your print bed is clean and free from dust, grease, or residue to ensure strong adhesion.
Place your printer on a stable, vibration-free surface, and confirm that vibration compensation is correctly calibrated.
Before printing, double-check that your filament profile matches the material and that your bed temperature is properly set.

Print Recommendation:

I recommend printing this Models with the orignal intendet Print Profil: [original] variable layers, optimised settings.
This includes a layer height of 0.16 mm and the upper part of the dog head with a layer height of 0.08 mm and hidden seams. The variable layer height is already set in the 3MF file.

The ribbon is set to 100% infill to balance the floating dog and keep it stable. The infill is already set in the 3MF file.

The upright angled position of the dog on the print bed minimizes the chance of print errors and reduces both print time and the amount of support structures needed.

Additional supports have been added to the tail an coat to minimalize the risk of print errors.

Additional brims have been added to the ribbon to minimalize the risk of print errors.

I recommend PLA Matte Bonewhite and the settings in my print profil for a high quality print.

Support Structures:

The Design and my Print Profil is designed with minimal but necessary supports and brims.

Support and brims are easy to remove.

Assemble:

Insert the ribbon into its matching opening and push it all the way in. Apply gentle pressure to the thicker parts of the ribbon to avoid cracks or breaks.

If you hear a slight crackling sound while inserting the ribbon into the opening, it’s also could be caused by small filament strings that have formed inside the holes. Just keep pushing gently without to much force.

The openings have been enlarged, making it much easier to insert the lines compared to my earlier models.
