Description
My son wanted a colorful planetary gear, so I made a version that can be assembled freely, which made him very happy
I separated the Ring gear using a pair of interlocking joints, so children can DIY their desired configurations, which helps them understand gear structures
You can choose the colors and number of gears (from 3-10), but please note that once the interlocking joints are assembled, they may be difficult to disassemble
Since the more gears there are, the harder it is to arrange them perfectly symmetrically during assembly, I also designed an installer for assembling 10 gears
Assembly and printing are both simple, just get started
Strongly recommend printing with PLA, PETG print quality will be slightly worse and not smooth enough
Additionally, if mixing multiple colors, ensure the filament properties are the same to avoid large differences in shrinkage
