Mini DJI O3 Air Unit FPV Head Tracking Gimbal
Print Profile(1)

Description
A head tracking gimbal developed for my RC boat, with compactness as the primary goal. Compared to other common gimbals, it does not require a 180-degree servo, but achieves 250 degrees (±125 degrees field of view) through a gear set and a 90-degree servo. I use a PTK 9g coreless waterproof servo; using other 9g servos may require size adjustments.
Notes: 1. The gear that connects to the servo needs to be heated with a lighter to expand its shaft hole before pressing it onto the servo output shaft;
2. The lower end of the gimbal turntable's pivot screw is screwed into the center hole of the servo output shaft for fixation. Pay attention to adjusting the tightness between the gimbal turntable and the screw so that it does not affect the rotation of the turntable. Threadlocker should preferably be used to secure the screw to the servo.
3. The protrusion on one side of the gimbal's pitch axis is fixed with screws. Since the O3 bracket is relatively thin, it is recommended to reinforce both with glue after screwing them in (refer to the assembly diagram for details).
