1U Modular Blank Panel for 19” Network Rack

I designed this modular blank panel for standard 19-inch network cabinets to cover empty rack spaces while maintaining a clean and professional look.

This model follows the 19” rack standard (1U) and is designed as a two-piece modular panel. By printing and assembling two mirrored parts, you can create a complete 1U blanking panel for your rack.

I printed the model in PETG, a material that offers excellent mechanical and thermal resistance — ideal for environments where temperatures may rise. The design is sturdy, lightweight, and optimized for 3D printing, with mounting holes aligned for standard rack installation.

Assembly

To assemble the complete panel you will need:

• 3x M5 screws (minimum screw length: 14 mm)
• 3x M5 nuts

Once the two halves are connected, the panel can be mounted directly to the rack using:

• 4x M6 rack screws with cage nuts/inserts

No modifications are required — simply assemble the two printed parts and mount the panel to the rack rails.

Printing Notes

• Recommended material: PETG
• PLA can also be used for light-duty applications
• Print orientation as provided in the model files for best strength

You can pair this panel with other rack accessories from the same category, such as:

• Unifi Switch 8 PoE Lite
• Unifi UCG Max/Ultra
