Perpendicular Drilling Jig (for various brands)

Drill holes perpendicular to a flat surface, a rod or a pipe. Easily adapted to tools from other brands.

I had originally made the adapter for my Bosch cordless drill (Bosch GSR 12V-15 FC), but decided to make it more universal by adding an adapter, that can easily be modified to fit other cordless drills to the fixture.

It is quite easy to adapt to tools from other brands, by clicking Customize

Measuring your tool's dimensions precisely is important. Some are cylindrical, others are conical and other factors may also have to be accounted for.

If your drill does not have a bayonet mount (or similar) for attaching the chuck, you can design your own adapter by loading the included design file in e.g. Autodesk Fusion and then figure out how you best lock your drill to the adapter.

I designed the jig for 8mm linear rods and bushings commonly used in 3D printers.

Necessary screws and nuts are listed in the file “parts list.pdf” and a “printing and assembly.pdf ” contains guidelines. 

Other makers have made adapters for various drill models.

 I have taken measurements from each and made new adapters that fit these brands.
