Description

I've had my Ikea billy bookcase for only a week and have lost at least 5 things down the back of it already, so here is my solution to stop things falling behind, not sure what you call it, a shelf lip, barrier strip, back stop?!

Anyway, as the skirting in my room is tall the bookcase does not fit quite flush to the wall, there is about a 19mm gap, so these fit in snugly without any glue or nails.

You should be able to modify the print to suit your gap by selecting all, scaling, uncheck ‘uniform scale’ and then increase or decrease the Z axis only to suit, leaving the rest intact.

Measure here after scaling to be what size you need (19.3mm as they are):

If you find they fall off you can put a command strip in the gap to hold it in place.

There is a 3 piece version for the 800mm wide bookcase and a 2 piece version for the 400mm wide bookcase, print which you need and the connectors for each, end caps also in the profile if you need them.
