Fatih Sultan Mehmed II – Equestrian Figure
Print Profile(1)

Description

FanArt of a stylized equestrian statue of Fatih Sultan Mehmet II (1432–1481) – known in Europe as Mehmed the Conqueror.
At just 21 years old, he conquered Constantinople in 1453, used heavy cannons, and had ships moved overland to the Golden Horn. The city became the heart of the Ottoman Empire. Fatih promoted science, art, and languages, founded institutions like the Fatih Mosque complexes, and made Istanbul a melting pot of cultures.
This figure adopts the motif of the determined commander on horseback – as a tribute to strategy, courage, and thirst for knowledge.
